Here are three things you probably did not know:
1. According to the book The Search for the Manchurian Candidate by John Marks, the US government was looking for people who fit the Manson profile, studying them, and using them for various covert projects. Although never confirmed, it is quite possible Manson was one of their recruits.
2. At the time, most of the LSD coming into the US originated at the Atsugi airbase in Japan, courtesy of the CIA. Although never confirmed, it is quite possible the CIA was the source of Manson's drugs. [By the way, Lee Harvey Oswald worked as a radar operator at Atsugi prior to defecting to Russia.]
3. The local sheriff's department had been tipped off to Manson's activities and was preparing to raid his evil lair prior to the murders his group then committed. However, at the last minute some unnamed party called off the raid, thereby facilitating the worst of Manson's crimes. It is quite possible the CIA or FBI was the party which called off the raid, which makes sense if Manson had been one of their operatives and involved in an ongoing project (like maybe MK Ultra).
The MSM gives us the same story over and over about Manson, never looking at what lurks behind it. We should know by now that "our" government usually knows in advance when groups like the Manson family are getting ready to commit their attacks ... but for some reason allows those attacks to proceed.
And somehow we never seem to figure out or even care just why that happens over, and over, and over again. Did you ever consider that maybe it was the US government that wanted Manson's race war to occur?
