Yes, this is "anecdotal" information, but I see a real problem here. Things are happening which "science" cannot or will not explain, and perhaps that's because someone doesn't want them to be explained.
There should be a rough correspondence between what people observe and what "scientists" can explain. When the two diverge so greatly, are "fact checkers" really the way to close the gap?
And are we going to wait until the birth rate goes to zero to ask such questions?
