For those of you who are ignorant of US history or who choose to ignore and/or diss it, this nation was founded by people who prayed and were patriotic. They also were not afraid to conduct a violent revolution to secure their liberties (e.g., those found in the US Bill of Rights). Such people are now reviled and considered to be racist monsters.
In their place we have a new crop of founders (i.e., "re-inventers") who also are not afraid to conduct a violent revolution to secure their particular universe of liberties (e.g., same-sex marriage, unrestricted abortion, and the "right" to choose one's own gender, among others).
We are rapidly shifting from one milieu to the next. You better start swimmin' or you'll sink like a stone, for the times they are a-changin' ... again:
