Two facts spell our impending doom:
- Most manufacturing and distribution of everything is done by large corporations, and
- Most large corporations would rather use robots than employ humans.
You can argue whether or not these are facts, but the future will prove me right. And once "the Singularity" occurs, we are doomed:
Among other things, our reckoning of time (BC/AD, i.e., a calendar based on the Christian era) will be replaced with PS/AS (i.e., preceding the Singularity/after the Singularity).
For the average person, is not technology replacing Jesus as their personal savior? Have not "holidays" celebrating the gifting of technology and material things already replaced the Biblical Holy Days?
