BLOGGERS HAVE FIRST AMENDMENT PROTECTIONS

I don't even know why this was an issue in the first place:

What does the First Amendment of the US Constitution say?

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Blogging is a modern form of communication with characteristics of both speech and press. Why would it NOT be protected?
