If I may, Mr. President, let me give you a few suggestions:

The union is screwed, big time! Half the country hates the other half, and your Congress seems to think that's just fine. The plandemic is killing us. We're on the verge of national bankruptcy. The dollar is rapidly losing its value. The electric grid is failing. Millions of us have no jobs. Foreigners don't want our bonds any more, and most of them would like to bury us. And we somehow still see the need to drop bombs on people.

Hopefully you can be lucid enough for 30 minutes or so to actually address the nation soon. If not, a deep fake hologram Joe Biden would probably suffice. In fact, it might even do a better job than the actual you.

Our Bizarre Economy

I just read that Speaker Pelosi somehow thinks it wise to break the House's own rules to give working Americans a $15 per hour minimum wage.

According to this source, 100 million of us are not in the workforce:

If all those people got full-time $15 per hour jobs, that would amount to over $3 trillion in wages per year. That would certainly give a boost to the economy if it came from private sector employers, but who is going to hire them all? Certainly not small businesses. And the Amazons of the world would rather use robots.

The Naked Sun

Long ago I read several of Isaac Asimov's books (Foundation trilogy, etc.). For some reason, The Naked Sun is one that sticks with me.

We appear to be on a trajectory to becoming the sort of society the book describes:

• a sparsely populated planet where most work is done by robots
• elites living on huge estates (e.g., Larry Ellison, Mark Zuckerberg)
• practicing strict social distancing
• communicating via technology (e.g., Zoom) instead of face-to-face

I guess what bothers me the most is that wealthy techies now have the means to turn Earth (and perhaps Mars) into such a place and appear to be working toward that goal.

What do you think? Do you really believe they created mRNA vaccines to help keep our planet overpopulated and on the brink of disaster? Or do the vaccines have another purpose?
