Pope Francis is due to arrive in the United States of America today, September 22, 2015:

As you may know, September 22, 1692 is the date on which eight witches and warlocks were hanged in Salem, MA.

In addition, September 22, 1776 is the date on which American patriot Nathan Hale was hanged in New York, NY.

And September 22, 1862 is the date of Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation.

What an interesting choice for the beginning of the Pope's visit to Satan's earthly kingdom (a.k.a. the USA).

Is FBI Above The Law ???

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley is blasting the FBI for rebuffing a judge's request for information on the law enforcement agency's investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's private email system.

Grassley, whose panel oversees the FBI, reacted sharply to a letter the FBI sent Monday turning aside U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan's request for information on whether investigators have been able to retrieve records from a backup thumb drive of Clinton emails or from a server turned over by a tech company Clinton hired.

"The FBI is behaving like it’s above the law," Grassley said in a statement provided to POLITICO on Monday evening. "Simply refusing to cooperate with a court-ordered request is not an appropriate course of action. This entire case, from Secretary Clinton’s ill-advised decision to use a non-government email server, to the FBI’s investigation about classified information, needs some transparency in order to assure the American people that getting to the bottom of this controversy is a priority.”

Dear Chuck: Yes, FBI is above the law. They can do whatever they want, and no one holds them accountable. They enabled the JFK assassination and 9/11, and since Congress let them get away with such things they can more or less operate with impunity. You can find more examples of this here:

What To Do With Plutonium ???

According to this report, no one knows what to do with our "excess" weapons grade plutonium:

One brilliant idea was to put it inside the high level nuclear waste logs which were supposed to be buried in Yucca Mountain (the so-called "can in a can" plan). That was abandoned after it was discovered the cans would eventually leak, allowing the plutonium to migrate and perhaps go critical.

Maybe we should keep it in Fort Knox. According to what I've heard, there isn't much gold there anymore.

Immigration Tyranny ???

No doubt burned by Congress’s “stubborn” refusal to raise the cap on annual cap on H-1B visas (which are “skilled” temporary non-immigrant worker visas) the Obama administration, at the behest of Big Tech lobbyists, has told its agency lawyers to think up a clever alternative. In a strongly worded letter to Obama’s immigration authorities, Grassley, a 35-year Senate veteran, closely outlines the legal and practical faults of the new policy and demands answers from the agency regarding its purported authority for the move.

Bergdahl's Gripes Are BS

Army Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl was fed up. He was five weeks into a deployment in southeastern Afghanistan and frustrated with his mission and his leaders. He and his fellow soldiers weren’t going after the Taliban as aggressively as he wanted, and his sense of disillusion added to the disgust for the Army that he had begun developing while still in basic training.

Looking to make a stand, Bergdahl hatched a plan: He would run away from his platoon’s tiny outpost in Paktika province late on June 29, 2009. He would stay away from the Army a day, maybe two, and then reappear about 19 miles away at a larger installation and demand to air his grievances with a general. He knew that the region was crawling with insurgents, but he had “outsize impressions of his own capabilities,” according to an investigating officer, and was determined to create enough chaos to get the attention of senior commanders.

I have served on a court-martial board, and if I were sitting in judgment of Bergdahl I would have to conclude the facts of the case (as presented in the MSM) suggest that he is guilty of being AWOL, but not desertion.

However, the true facts when known may suggest otherwise.

In any case, this apparent excuse of his sounds like utter horseshit. You don't go AWOL so you can talk to senior commanders and tell them they're AFU. If that was his "plan", he also is guilty of insubordination.

Syria And The Doomsday Vault

Syria's civil war has prompted the first withdrawal of crop seeds from a "doomsday" vault built in an Arctic mountainside to safeguard global food supplies, officials said on Monday.

The seeds, including samples of wheat, barley and grasses suited to dry regions, have been requested by researchers in the Middle East to replace a collection in the Syrian city of Aleppo that has been damaged by the war.

British Army Threatens A Coup ???

There has been some debate about the significance of a warning issued this weekend through Rupert Murdoch’s Sunday Times by a British general that the army would “mutiny” and use “whatever means possible, fair or foul” should the new Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn ever get near 10 Downing Street.

Here is what the general says:

Owen Jones has wondered whether this is tantamount to a threat of a coup by the military. I think it would be foolhardy indeed to read it as anything else.

I wonder why the US military has not rebelled in a similar manner against Obama ad-Dajjal? Is it because they get wonderful jobs when they retire if they promise to keep their mouths shut?

Or is it because they participated in the coup against JFK and don't want to be caught doing the same thing again?
