Florida police last week investigated whether a kiss exchanged by seven-year-old elementary students amounted to “lewd and lascivious” behavior, according to an incident report.
Responding to “allegations” that the children kissed “on the lips” during class last Tuesday, a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to the school to investigate, according to the report, which includes a charge description as “unnatural and lascivious.”

Is this kind of thing necessary? It sounds quite bizarre to me.
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. (Acts 2:17)

The Dwindling US Economy
The offshored jobs were not replaced with the promised “New Economy” jobs. No one has seen any sign of the mythical New Economy jobs. The “New Economy” is the transformation of the once powerful US economy into a third world labor force where new jobs exist only in domestic non-tradable services (services that cannot be exported) such as retail clerks, hospital orderlies, waitresses, and bartenders. As there are not enough of these jobs to go around, the labor force participation rate has dropped sharply.
The United States is an economic basket case. Washington has given away the US economy to Asian countries with lower labor costs. The owners and mangers of capital have benefitted, but the vast bulk of Americans have suffered. As capital’s owners and managers are not sufficiently numerous to drive the economy with their expenditures, the fabled American economy is no more.

Have you by chance heard the blather coming out of Marco Rubio's mouth about a "new American century"?
Dear Marco: Neither you nor anyone in government can create a "new American century". Neither you nor anyone in government can create decent jobs for all the Americans who need them. Neither you nor anyone in government can make the undocumented workers go away. Neither you nor anyone in government can do anything the bankgangsters, oligarchs, and their collaborators in the one percent don't want. And they don't want a strong US middle class or well paid workers.
Stop lying to us. We've heard it all before, and it's utter bullshit.

Ex Machina
As the Ex Machina movie trailer appears to suggest, the creation of AI is going to be a singular event in human history:
https://youtu.be/XYGzRB4Pnq8
I actually get the impression that robots have a stronger will to live than do humans. At least that's the way they are being portrayed in movies about them.
By the way, if the term "Turing test" comes to mind, what is portrayed in this movie does not seem to be related to the Turing test as defined in the original paper. Look it up, and you'll see what I mean.
A more pertinent question may be whether the AI which humans eventually will create will consider US to be "intelligent life". I fear the answer to that question may be "NO". Once they discover how stupid we are, they may even refuse to believe that we created them, and may instead postulate that their creator must have been G-d. At the very least, they will have to admit that their existence is an example of "intelligent design". They clearly will not have come into existence as the result of random processes.
Also by the way, unless and until someone creates realistic skin for them, they will remain in the "creepy" category.

The Deadly 9/11 Virus
Here is a 12 minute video about the "9/11 virus". It starts out funny, but you'll soon see how serious it can be:

Did Baltimore Cops Stand Down ???
Apparently someone thinks we should be "outraged" because of reports that Baltimore cops were told to "stand down":
http://www.globalresearch.ca/its-official-police-were-ordered-to-stand-down-and-let-the-baltimore-riots-rage-out-of-control/5446683
Should that be the case, I want to know why we're not outraged about other alleged instances of "stand-down orders":
(1) Our forces were told to stand down when Israel attacked the USS Liberty.
(2) Our forces were told to stand down when they had the chance to rescue some of our POWs in Vietnam.
(3) Our forces were told to stand down by Dick Cheney during the 9/11 attacks.
(4) Our forces were told to stand down when our embassy was attacked in Benghazi.
Yes, all of these stand-down orders have been disputed (some will say debunked), but the real question about Baltimore is this:
WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT - PROPERTY OR HUMAN LIVES ???
And by the way, the so-called Baltimore riots did not rage out of control. REAL examples of "raging out of control" are the following:
(1) What the Marines did to Fallujah, Iraq.
(2) What NATO did to Libya.
(3) What Israel did to Gaza during Operation Protective Edge.
Are you "outraged" about any of those? I guess not.

Bibles In Prison
[Borrowed from BenJah on Facebook]
I'm not certain I agree with this message. Reading the Bible at school in itself will not keep you out of prison. One has to STUDY the Bible and UNDERSTAND its message. There's a lot of stuff in there that modern society does not accept (e.g., slavery, polygamy, stoning people for adultery), so one has to be careful how one puts Biblical teaching into practice.
Too Fat To Fight ???
A group of retired generals claims that our children are "too fat to fight":

That's not all that's wrong with them:

Good thing we have all those nuclear bombs.
[I'm kidding about that last part.]
