AI Will Rule The World
Vladimir Putin spoke with students about science in an open lesson on September 1, the start of the school year in Russia. He told them that "the future belongs to artificial intelligence," and whoever masters it first will rule the world.
"Artificial intelligence is the future, not only for Russia, but for all humankind. It comes with colossal opportunities, but also threats that are difficult to predict. Whoever becomes the leader in this sphere will become the ruler of the world," Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

And since no human will ever fully control AI, this means that robots and AI will in fact some day rule our world.
And if they decide to eliminate us, they shall do so with brutal efficiency.

The Lure Of Fossil Fuels
Obama's signing of the Paris agreement and Trump's withdrawal from it signal different priorities, but the steady expansion of fossil fuel development and infrastructure proceeded apace under Obama and continues under Trump. As the need to avoid contamination and deter climate change grows more urgent, we should look beyond self-styled climate heroes from either party and hold all elected officials equally accountable.

Their lawyer stated he had advised against the purchase, but that his client had gone ahead anyway. He implied the client had inside knowledge the purchase would be a profitable venture.
Politics determines who will receive the most wealth. And if you know what a Hillary or an Obama ad-Dajjal is going to do, you can use such inside info to accumulate vast riches.
And the best part is you can blame the associated environmental damage on a Bush or a Trump and the suckers in the electorate will believe you.

Amid mounting military and diplomatic tensions between the US and Russia, the German daily Süddeutsche Zeitung reported Friday that the American Congress has taken the first steps toward Washington’s annulling of the Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty.
The INF, or Washington Treaty on Mid-range Nuclear Systems, is a bilateral agreement reached between the United States and the Soviet Union on the decommissioning of short- and mid-range missiles (with a range of between 500 and 5,500 miles), and the banning of their production.
The treaty, signed on 8 December 1987 by US President Ronald Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, led to a significant reduction of US nuclear weapons in Europe. The nuclear-armed mid-range Pershing II missiles, whose stationing in Western Europe five years earlier had triggered the largest peace demonstrations to that point in history, were withdrawn.
The danger now is "that the US will construct new missiles and station them in Europe,” warned the Süddeutsche Zeitung. A major shift would be set “into motion” and Europe would stand “on the brink of a new nuclear era … nuclear mid-range missiles were the horror of the Cold War … thirty years on, the spectre has returned."

In a former life during the first Cold War, I was in the US Army and stationed at AFCENT in Brunssum, The Netherlands. One day we got a warning signal over the radio suggesting that INF missiles were about to be launched. Knowing that such a launch meant we'd all be dead in 10-15 minutes was NOT a good feeling.
Note well that candidate Trump said he wanted to AVOID such a thing; but now President Trump is being steered into direct confrontation with Russia and China.
We The People need new leadership, and it MUST be leadership which is NOT based upon global military supremacy or financial totalitarianism.
No more Trumps, no more Obamas, no more Hillarys.
