We Are A House Divided

Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

Minister Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam wisely warns that America is now divided against itself. You can read his words here:

He also condemned the actions of Hillary and her so-called husband Bill:

“My dear brothers and sisters, this is serious,” Farrakhan told his congregation. “Her husband and Joe Biden were the authors of the crime bill that put tens of thousands of black brothers and sisters in prison.”

“Mrs. Clinton backed the crime bill and then called our young people super predators. Of course she apologized, but just a minute. See Hitler could’ve said to the Jews after Auschwitz, ‘I’m so sorry.’ Would that be enough to satisfy you?”

“Look at this award that she got,” he continued. “In 2009 Hillary Clinton received the Margaret Sanger Award from Planned Parenthood. It was Mrs. Sanger who advocated population control of black and poor people.”

Abraham Lincoln ran on a platform of saving the Union. In spite of their lies to the contrary, both Obama ad-Dajjal and Hillary seek to tear us apart.

Divided or not, Satan's kingdom is increased when men and women turn against G-d. We have been doing that for quite some time, and if she gets the opportunity Hillary may drive the final nail into our collective coffin.

The Coming Kingdom Of G-d

Will this man someday be the king of Israel?

[Rabbi Yitzchak] Ginsburgh’s followers view him as no less than a prophet.

“Secular Zionism is stagnant and has nothing left to offer. Even Bibi [Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu] does not know how to cope with terror,” said Tzviki Basok, a 29-year-old resident of the tiny West Bank settlement of Ahaia who identified himself as a devoted Ginsburgh follower. A father of six, Basok wore a dark-brown flat cap on his head, slim glasses on his nose, and a perpetually friendly smile that his shaggy beard could not quite hide. “Ginsburgh,” he said, is the “only one who is willing to take responsibility over the entirety of the Jewish nation, according to Torah.”

But Ginsburgh is not just about violence against Palestinians. His wide network of schools and communities has, until recently, been financially supported by the Israeli government and continues to receive funding from private donors in the United States and Israel. And he has a vision for the state’s future: He wants to dismantle it. In its place, he seeks to establish a Jewish monarchy. Indeed, some of his followers hope to crown Ginsburgh himself as their king. And though the number of Israelis openly advocating this right now is relatively small, they have a penchant for action that has given them a disproportionate impact on events.

If you think we've got problems in the Middle East now, wait until this rabbi and his followers take over.

The question before us is this - do we believe in the Bible? REALLY believe?

If the answer is YES, then the US should be swept away by the Kingdom of G-d.

If the answer is NO, then Israel should be condemned for the racist, sexist, apartheid regime it is becoming ... and subject to the sanctions which such a regime merits.

This may be the defining issue of our age.

By the way, I don't think Rabbi Ginsburgh’s version of the Kingdom of G-d has any room for Jesus Christ or for Christians. Many of you are due for a rude shock when the Jewish Kingdom of G-d comes into being [with the full support and resources of the USA at its disposal]. That's when the killing of Christians will begin in earnest.

Can Robots Keep Secrets ???

Google's quest for AI continues apace:

... neural networks aren’t artificial intelligence per se, but they’re a key stepping stone towards creating a “real” AI which isn’t designed to perform a particular function but can instead learn and adapt just like a human would. While we probably still have a long way to go until we reach that goal, some important advancements are already being made on an almost daily basis. We’re currently still at a stage in which the most powerful neural networks are being programmed in a rather narrow manner so that they can focus on learning to perform a single task as efficiently as possible. Cue Google Brain deep learning research project which recently managed to teach neural networks to create their own cryptographic algorithms and use them to encrypt their internal communications.

Peace Process ??? WHAT Peace Process ???

The so-called "peace process" is nothing more (or less) than the disenfranchisement of the Palestinian people and the theft of their land and resources.

Allowing the UN to mitigate this disaster would constitute "due process" for the Palestinians. What's wrong with that?

Wikileaks Pulls Back The Curtain

Thomas Frank spells it out in this wonderful essay:

The emails currently roiling the US presidential campaign are part of some unknown digital collection amassed by the troublesome Anthony Weiner, but if your purpose is to understand the clique of people who dominate Washington today, the emails that really matter are the ones being slowly released by WikiLeaks from the hacked account of Hillary Clinton’s campaign chair John Podesta. They are last week’s scandal in a year running over with scandals, but in truth their significance goes far beyond mere scandal: they are a window into the soul of the Democratic party and into the dreams and thoughts of the class to whom the party answers.

The class to which I refer is not rising in angry protest; they are by and large pretty satisfied, pretty contented. Nobody takes road trips to exotic West Virginia to see what the members of this class looks like or how they live; on the contrary, they are the ones for whom such stories are written. This bunch doesn’t have to make do with a comb-over TV mountebank for a leader; for this class, the choices are always pretty good, and this year they happen to be excellent.

They are the comfortable and well-educated mainstay of our modern Democratic party. They are also the grandees of our national media; the architects of our software; the designers of our streets; the high officials of our banking system; the authors of just about every plan to fix social security or fine-tune the Middle East with precision droning. They are, they think, not a class at all but rather the enlightened ones, the people who must be answered to but who need never explain themselves.

Let us turn the magnifying glass on them for a change, by sorting through the hacked personal emails of John Podesta, who has been a Washington power broker for decades. I admit that I feel uncomfortable digging through this hoard; stealing someone’s email is a crime, after all, and it is outrageous that people’s personal information has been exposed, since WikiLeaks doesn’t seem to have redacted the emails in any way. There is also the issue of authenticity to contend with: we don’t know absolutely and for sure that these emails were not tampered with by whoever stole them from John Podesta. The supposed authors of the messages are refusing to confirm or deny their authenticity, and though they seem to be real, there is a small possibility they aren’t.

With all that taken into consideration, I think the WikiLeaks releases furnish us with an opportunity to observe the upper reaches of the American status hierarchy in all its righteousness and majesty.

Ten years ago, Julian Assange revealed to the world what he intended to do:

In “Conspiracy as Governance,” which Assange posted to his blog in December 2006, the leader of then-new WikiLeaks describes what he considered to be the most effective way to attack a conspiracy - including, as he puts it, that particular form of conspiracy known as a political party.

“Consider what would happen if one of these parties gave up their mobile phones, fax and email correspondence - let alone the computer systems which manage their [subscribers], donors, budgets, polling, call centres and direct mail campaigns. They would immediately fall into an organisational stupor and lose to the other.”

And how to induce that “organisational stupor?” Foment the fear that any correspondence could leak at any time.

“The more secretive or unjust an organization is, the more leaks induce fear and paranoia in its leadership and planning coterie. This must result in minimization of efficient internal communications mechanisms (an increase in cognitive ‘secrecy tax’) and consequent system-wide cognitive decline resulting in decreased ability to hold onto power as the environment demands adaptation.”

Believe it or not, of all the important players in the 2016 election, Julian Assange is the only one who is delivering on his promises.

The way our system SHOULD work is that the DOJ and our investigative agencies should find and root out corruption in our banks, corporations, and government agencies. They clearly have failed to do so, and the bad actors do whatever they want with impunity.

I therefor have absolutely no problem with Wikileaks doing what they do for us. If the end result is the eradication of all the rot in our system, I'll be quite happy.

Our Immigration Conundrum

Here is a story which is quite typical of our times:

Alejandra is one of more than 87,000 undocumented immigrant children who have made court appearances since 2005 without legal representation.

Is this due process? Let's refer to the US Constitution:

Fourteenth Amendment
1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

(Note - The "due process" clause in this amendment mimics the wording of the Fifth Amendment.)

Is Alejandra being deprived of "life, liberty, or property"? NO. So in this sense, she is not being deprived of due process.

But is she being deprived of "the equal protection of the laws"? What does the US Constitution say about the right to legal representation?

Sixth Amendment
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.

Is Alejandra's deportation hearing a "criminal prosecution"? NO. So in this sense, she is not being deprived of equal protection.

Ironically, the failure to provide due process and equal protection applies not to undocumented immigrants but to CITIZENS of the United States. "Our" government has deprived We The People of those rights by not enforcing our immigration laws. Had they enforced such laws equally and effectively, there would not be a hoard of immigrants in our midst, and our immigration conundrum would not even exist.

A Beginner's Guide To The Death Throes Of Empire

According to Fred Reed, The Empire is losing its grip:

Oh good. The world reaches a crossroads, or probably a road off a cliff, just when I want to relax and watch gratuitous violence on the tube. To judge by the rapid drift of events aboard our planetary asylum, the talons of Washington and New York on the world’s throat are fast being pried a-loose. The Global American Imperium is dying. Or so it sure looks anyway.

I say talons of  “New York and Washington” because America’s foreign policy, forged in those two cities, belongs entirely to them. Americans have no influence on it. Further, none of of what the Empire does abroad is of any benefit to Americans. Do you care at all what happens in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, or the South China Sea?  Do you want to pay for it? America has been hijacked.

And the Empire prospereth not. It prospereth very not. Consider the recent record of the world’s  hyperpower:

Washington does not have control of Afghanistan, and obviously is not going to.

Washington does not have control of Iraq, and appears unlikely to.

Washington did not back Iran down, and isn’t going to.

Washington did not back Russia down in Ukraine and Crimea, and isn’t going to.

Washington did not back China down in the South China Sea and, while this is perhaps not over, the Empire seems to be losing.

Washington has not backed North Korea down and is not going to.

In the Philippines, President Duterte has told Obama to “go to hell” as being “the son of a whore,” which may be taken to indicate latent hostility. He is vigorously seeking rapprochement with China. While Washington may have him murdered, it seems to be losing control of the Little Vassals of ASEAN.

Turkey seems to be cuddling up to Russia – that is, looking East like Duterte. Maybe Washington can turn this around temporarily, but there-s a whole lot of wavering going on.

Meanwhile Washington thrashes around impotently as per usual in Syria, and, though the jury remains out on this one, looks to have poor prospects. If Washington – AKA New York – loses here, after doing so in Iraq, Libya, Somalia, and Afghanistan, the Empire will beyond redemption be on the downward slope.

The United States is not in danger. The Empire is. This is not good. Empires, the Soviet Union notwithstanding, seldom go quietly. Either Washington gambles on war of some sort against Russia, or Russia and China, in the desperate hope of reversing things, or the Empire  gets slowly eaten. Or not so slowly. Once one country pries itself loose, many may rush for the door.

This definitely is not good. Our previous good fortune has come at the expense of others. When The Empire loses its grip on the world, our standard of living will plunge.
