Your Chocolate Comes From Child Slaves

The Milton Hershey School in Pennsylvania is one of the wealthiest education centers in the world. Founded in 1909 as an orphanage for “male Caucasian” boys, it was awarded 30 percent of the company’s future earnings by Milton S. Hershey upon his death. Thanks to the success of Kit-Kats, Reese’s, and Whoppers, the school is worth a staggering $7.8 billion.

Now home to more than 2,000 students, it owns a controlling interest in the $22.3 billion Hershey company—a chocolate maker with roots in child protection and education that, in the worst form of irony, allegedly relies on cocoa harvested by child laborers in West Africa.

It is this irony that serves as the motivation behind a class action lawsuit filed Monday against Hershey and two of its competitors, Mars and Nestle. The complaints, filed by three California residents, allege that the companies are guilty of false advertising for failing to disclose the use of child slavery on their packaging. Without it, the plaintiffs claim, the companies are deceiving consumers into “unwittingly” supporting the child slave labor trade.

Somehow, I don't think this is what Uncle Milty had in mind.

One System, Indivisible, With Liberty For The Rich

The system is a machine in which each gear serves the whole. So go ahead and try to "reform" the system by extracting whatever gear you don't approve of: the Deep State components, the Security State organs, the Federal Reserve, cartels/monopolies enforced by the State, the suppression of democracy, crony capitalism, whatever. The system is interdependent. Each subsystem needs the others to function.

The cancer has taken over every organ of the body. This more or less explains why no US President ever will be able to change anything of importance.

Humans Of Jerusalem ???

Some people are going gaga over a Facebook page named "Humans of Jerusalem". You can read about it here:

http://www.jpost.com/In-Jerusalem/Humans-of-Jerusalem-419662

When I looked at it on Facebook, all I could find were pictures of Israelis.

Does that mean that the non-Israelis of Jerusalem are somehow "inhuman" or untermenschen?

Jerusalem belongs to everyone who follows G-d's commandments, and the Israelis have no right (Biblical or otherwise) to exclude anyone from the city. G-d will admit whomever He chooses:

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Does US Support Child Soldiers ???

When the extremist group the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) abducts boys from Friday prayers at mosques or indoctrinates children as young as 10 to become fighters or suicide bombers, there is little the United States can do.

But when recipients of U.S. military aid recruit children into their forces as soldiers, the United States has a lot of leverage. It is disappointing that the Obama administration has been reluctant to use it.

This week, U.S. President Barack Obama is expected to make his annual announcement about the issue, on whether he will waive sanctions on military foreign aid under U.S. law for any of the eight governments currently on the State Department's list for using child soldiers.

Were we to be realistic about ourselves, we'd admit that we really don't give a damn if they use child soldiers. Isn't our motto "the ends justify the means"? And of course the ends are US hegemony and corporate profits.

How Will You Rate ???

Imagine you’re about to go on a first date. You Yelp the restaurant, naturally, to make sure that it has something edible on the menu; then you Google the person, naturally, to make sure that they’re not obnoxious on social media. Simple enough!

In a (perhaps inevitable) new development, these two perfectly innocuous Internet searches are coming together in Peeple, an app that will allow users to rate and search other human beings. It’s Yelp for people, and it’s coming in November.

When the app launches, users will be able to review their friends, coworkers, and romantic partners — who may or may not have ever signed on to the app themselves — using a one- to five-star rating scale.

I guess these people have never heard of the libel laws.

Or maybe they have. This app will be a lawyer's wet dream.

By the way, I'm sure my rating will be something like "a-hole".

HHS Preparing For Nuclear Attack ???

"The detonation of an improvised nuclear device would produce intense heat, resulting in many patients with severe burns," says a September 30 news release from the Department of Health and Human Services.

The announcement says HHS has contracted for the development of "four novel products to treat severe thermal burns."

The products will boost the number of treatment options in case of disaster, and they'll also be used in "routine" burn care situations.

The four treatments -- one commercially available right now and three in development -- "will be added to the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) or managed by vendors to help protect people from burn injuries resulting from radiological and nuclear threats," HHS said.

NWO Infects Canada

CBC News has learned that a Canadian military effort to formally create integrated forces with the United States for expeditionary operations included an even more ambitious option — a plan to fully integrate military forces, explored during a meeting with the top generals from the two countries.

The Canadian military efforts were ultimately shut down and refocused on improving interoperability between the forces.

Information provided by the Department of National Defence shows the Canada-U.S. Integrated Forces program was led at the highest levels, with then Chief of the Defence Staff Gen. Tom Lawson and the chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey (now retired), meeting on "several occasions" to hash out a plan that included an option for "fully integrated forces."
