My Ukrainian Roots
My grandparents came from a region of Europe that was once called "Ruthenia". It included parts of Slovakia, Ukraine, and Poland. A description can be found here:

They have never had a country of their own, and they have been persecuted for centuries by the large nations which did rule them.
These people are religious, almost saintly religious. And when they first came here from the old country, they could see the extent to which Satan rules America. They lamented that fact that he took over their childrens' lives with sex, drugs, and rock and roll ... but they soon realized they could do nothing about it.
Now the West is all "concerned" that Putin is "invading" Ukraine. From my perspective, Ukraine always has been in the process of being invaded and occupied. Right now they are caught in a vise between the oligarchs of Russia and the oligarchs of the West:

Once you add up the pollution from battery manufacture, from the eventual disposal or recycling of spent batteries, and from generating energy to charge the batteries, any sane person will realize that battery powered cars will pollute the world at least as much as do gasoline powered vehicles ... and perhaps more.
By the way, Nikola Tesla believed that access to free energy was a basic human right. Those who today use his name on their product(s) do a grave disservice to his legacy.
